A classic pale golden hue in the glass leads to a complex nose speaking of breadth and accented by inviting notes of pitted fruits, melon and a delicate hint of dried sweet herbs. The palate displays the subtle richness and depth so characteristic of Semillon with a backbone of freshness and welcome acidity from the Sauvignon Blanc. White peach, honeydew melon, a touch of citrus for complexity combined with structure and innate balance of all components. This all leads to a lengthy resonating finish framed by the palate impressions with an intensity reminiscent of this classic Graves-style blend. A complete wine from start to finish that will pair with a broad range of delectable seafood from a delicate poached dover sole meunière to grilled black cod, poultry “your way” or even eggs Benedict for a memorable brunch.

The palate displays a rich mouthfeel, refreshing acidity, subtle tannins and the multifaceted impressions on the nose that carry forward to a lengthy and layered finish leaving a lasting memory. The wine is bold yet elegant, exhibiting its Bordelais roots combined with its Napa influence of inviting textural elements, structural intensity and intricate balance. A wine to enjoy now for its youthful charm and to hold for years to come as it gains complexity and nuance with time in the bottle.
